Who We Are

Adelle Getz

Adelle is an Occupational Therapist, with 35 years experience of clinical practice, and runs one of Sydney’s only dementia specific occupational therapy practices. At DOTS, our expertise is in the care of those living with dementia and educating those that care for someone living with dementia.

Adelle founded DOTS, a practice which provides dementia care training to families and aged care facilities after having cared for her mother who lived with dementia for 10 years.

In addition to her BSc Hons in Occupational Therapy, Adelle has completed the Understanding Dementia course run by the Wicking Institute, University of Tasmania and is trained in the COPE program methodology.

Having lived through the dementia journey, Adelle understands what it’s like and is here to support you with any assistance needed. When someone you love, whether it be a mother or father, grandparent or spouse, is diagnosed with dementia, it can be overwhelming.

Beth Steiner

Beth is the Educational Director at DOTS.

She is trained as a teacher and passionate about educating people in a dynamic and meaningful way how to connect to those living with dementia.

Beth’s role is to use her teaching and public speaking experience to make our presentations engaging, fun and meaningful for participants and family.
